Microsoft Edge Chromium is officially live now for windows. Google Chrome now has a new competitor. Explorer was almost dead, and this move can revive the Microsoft browser, which will be visible in the coming months. To everyone surprise in December 2018, Microsoft announced the replacement of the legacy edge browser with a new edge browser based on chromium open source project. Other browsers based on Chromium include Google Chrome, Opera, and Brave.

The new Microsoft Edge is based on Chromium open source project and is released on January 15, 2020. It is compatible with all supported versions of Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. It is now available to download for desktop, Android & iOS devices. The beta version has already been surfaced a couple of months back.
It is already on the top spot of the benchmark score, which is the power of the chromium engine. It is faster and includes some very unique features such as text-to-speech, immersive reader mode, cast media to the device, browser task manager.
It has full support for chrome web store; also, you can easily import every setting, bookmarks, history, etc. from chrome browser. But the extension synchronization is missing, which means you have to install all your extensions manually.
