Intel has finally launched the 10th gen processor for desktops. These are ‘Comet Lake’ chips and can offer turbo speeds up to 5.3 GHz. This is the fifth iteration of Comet Lake.
The 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10900K is the fastest Intel processor for desktops. It comes with 10 cores and 20 threads. Intel claims that this new flagship desktop processor is around 18 percent faster at 4K video editing that last-gen chip.
Core i9 and Core i7 models also support DDR4-2933 RAM while Core i3 supports DDR4-2666. Intel has also included existing UHD Graphics 630 and 610 integrated GPUs with no notable new addition.
Every CPU features hyperthreading including the i3 models. So, improved multitasking support. The Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) is now integrated into the latest Intel Core desktop processors. The new Intel Ethernet Connection I225 promises to deliver the network speeds of 1GB on existing cables.
