POCO F1 launched on 29th Aug 2018 in India, and everyone becomes mad to own this smartphone. It created a buzz all over the world as soon as POCO F1 was launched. It was the cheapest smartphone with the latest Snapdragon processor, and still, it is the most economical. It was started as the sub-brand of Xiaomi along with the Mi and Redmi series. No one guessed that this smartphone would become so popular. Since then, there was speculation of the next smartphone of the POCO series.
There were a lot of fake videos circulating all over the internet, claiming the launch of POCO F2. And there was another group who are claiming that POCO is dead. Well, all that speculation is over now, as Xiaomi India Head, Manu Kumar Jain, announced on Twitter that POCO will now be an independent brand.
Check out his tweet:
Excited to share: #POCO will now be an independent brand!
What started as a sub-brand within Xiaomi, has grown into its own identity. POCO F1 was an incredibly popular phone. We feel the time is right to let POCO operate on its own.
Join me in wishing @IndiaPOCO all the best.
