Pubg Mobile Ban in India: What are the Best PUBG Mobile Alternative

PUBG mobile & PUBG Lite is now officially banned as per Government decision. In July this year, the Indian govt had banned 59 Chinese apps citing the sovereignty and integrity of Indian cyberspace. And now the Indian government has banned PUBG Mobile, the popular battle royale game along with other 117 Chinese apps. This is what govt tweeted regarding the ban of 118 Chinese apps.

It surely came as a huge shock since India was one of the largest markets for Tencent. Around 20-25 % of PUBG mobile users are from India so this will cost a huge revenue loss for Tencent Gaming. Well, now it is officially banned So let’s look upon some of the best alternatives.

Best PUBG Mobile Alternative

This article will discuss the top 5 best PUBG mobile alternatives which are arranged according to our personal preference.

 1.  Call of Duty: Mobile

Last year October month Call of Duty was launched for smartphones. It was considered a true competitor of PUBG mobile back then. The game is supremely polished, ships with solid mechanics, PvP modes, and, of course, a 100-player battle royale mode. The graphic is also quite similar to the PUBG mobile.

Not to mention, CoD: Mobile is published by Activision, a US-based studio so the chances are next to nothing for the game to be banned. Like PUBG mobile you can endlessly customize your character, weapons, unlock new characters, earn rewards, and much more. Best of all, the game takes up around 2GB of storage and runs pretty well on budget Android devices so it can sufficiently replace PUBG Mobile in the Indian market. Simply put, at this point, Call of Duty: Mobile is the best PUBG mobile alternative that you can hop on.

 2.  Fortnite

Fortnite is one of the most popular games outside India. Fortnite is a bit different from the standard shooters you’ll find in this list. What sets it apart is a crafting element that lets you, well, build walls, weapons, and traps around you. And the most beautiful part is that Fortnite supports cross-device matching. So basically a mobile player can play along with the console player.

But, there is one thing that makes me put it in second place and that is its humongous download size and compatibility requirements. Fortnite needs an Android device running Android 8 or higher, at least 4GB of RAM, GPU that features Adreno 530/Mali G71 or higher, and lastly, a mid to high-tier processor. In other terms, if your Android device comes with a Snapdragon 8-series processor then you are good to go. Coming to my main complaint, Fortnite takes around 8GB of storage which is a big ask for budget Android devices, especially in India.

I would say in terms of gameplay, Fortnite is in fact better than PUBG Mobile. And now that a new Fornite season has just started, you can’t afford to miss this opportunity.

 3.  Garena Free Fire: 3volution

Free Fire is another very popular mobile battle royale game that managed to hit 100 million peak daily users earlier this year. When PUBG mobile was not launched in India, people used to play Free Fire. You will get the battle royale experience here also where instead of 100 players 49 players will open fight with each other. The one who survives till the end by keeping track of the zone will be considered the winner.

Like PUBG mobile here also you can team up with four users and can decide the strategy by in-game voice chat. The game is very quick, a single match will cost you only 10 min. Their graphics are smooth, so you wouldn’t necessarily face any lag during the gameplay. This can also serve as a proper PUBG mobile alternative.

 4.  Battlelands Royale

As the name suggests, Battlelands Royale is a battle royale game similar to PUBG Mobile. It is not usual realistic bloodshed and character gameplay but brings cute cartoonist gameplay. The theme is the same as PUBG mobile where 32 players fight for survival.

Also, I found something unique about this game is that you don’t have to wait in the lobby for matchmaking. Just tap on the play button and you are on a parachute– now go ahead and loot, shoot and survive. The battle royale lasts not more than 3 to 5 minutes.

You can play the game either in solo or duo mode and you have to dominate your arena from all sides. The map is also kind of huge and you will have to play the game to learn about the various positions. All in all, Battlelands Royale is a fun-filled game like PUBG Mobile and you can play it for quick enjoyment.

 5.  Black Survival

Adding its own flair to the much-hyped PUBG-style games, Black Survival has now built a cult following among mobile users. This is a fast-paced action title, where you select an anime character and are dropped on an island with 22 different areas including a hospital, beach, forest among others.

Its unique gameplay can be challenging for some as you will need to be quick on your feet. The different types of characters will render you special abilities and weapons, but you’ll also have to memorize recipes that’ll enable you to craft about 600 types of weapons, tools, and foods — that’s a plus for sure. Overall, it can be a crazy action-packed adventure.

PUBG mobile Alternative Final Word

There are many other Pubg mobile alternative which we haven’t tried. Please let us know in the comment section if you find any game similar to PUBG mobile. PUBG mobile was best in the battle royale category but not it’s banned so we have the opportunity to look for better games.
